Expertise From Gran

I have had the privilege for 1 year, 8 months, 1 week, and 4 days to be called Gran. Becoming a Gran has been the most incredible experience of my life! I think it is the series of unexpected little extras that really add up to make grand parenting such an extraordinary experience. Here are few tidbits I offer from my experience.
  • Perfect love does not come until the first grandchild.

  • When Gracie was born, so was Gran.

  • If your description of your baby is "beautiful and perfect, never cries or fusses, sleeps on schedule and burps on demand, an angel all the time," you're the Gran!

  • A Gran is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend!

  • A Gran is like a piece of string - handy to have around and easily wrapped around the fingers of little Gracie!

  • Just about the time I thought my work was almost done, I became a Gran.

  • And last but not least, the reason a grandchild and a grandparent get along so well is that they have a common enemy.
